Philip Townsend, B. Comm (Hons.), CPA

Philip is a retired Partner of the Consulting Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC").   He held a number of leadership roles for PwC Canada and for the PwC Global firm with a focus on performance management and measurement, strategic planning, finance function effectiveness, process design and improvement, organizational design, internal controls design and technology planning and enablement.   

Prior to joining PwC, Philip held a number of senior management positions in both the private and public sectors.   

He is a resident of Rossport, Ontario, Canada living on Nicol Island having moved from southern Ontario to the North Shore of Lake Superior in October 2018.   

He received his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).  

Philip has volunteered with various community based organizations in the Lake Superior North Shore area, the York Region of Ontario and in his home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  

He is member of the Board of Directors for North Of Superior Healthcare Group and Board Treasurer.

Philip is a Board Member and the Treasurer for the Rossport Marina.  He is also responsible for the information systems that support the operations of the marina as well as the curation of the marina website.

He is also the Webmaster for the Rossport Tourism Association website.
