Technical Documents

One can imagine that operating a Bomber Command station and Lancaster aircraft would be a complex business.  There were many technical documents published during the war that became important reference tools for administrative staff, ground crews and air crews.

Some of the documents listed have been prepared subsequent to when the Squadron was operating in order to provide a better understanding of the operations.

The table below provides a mechanism to access and view the technical documents that have been collected.  By clicking on the Document Name, a copy of the technical document will be launched in a separate window which can be closed when finished with.

User Instructions - For Best User Experience

Step 1:

Pass your cursor over the table and then click on symbol called "Open Spreadsheet Technical Documents Listing in new window" to make use of the Filter and Sort Options.  

Step 2:

After clicking on the "Open Spreadsheet Technical Documents Listing in new window" button, click on the Menu Option called "Data", then click on the "Create New Temporary Filter View" sub-menu.  Then you can set the Filters (umbrella symbol) as a single filter or a combination of filters.  You can also Sort the columns. The table opens as a new window.  You can also click on a Column Heading, then click on the Menu option called "Data", then click on the sub-menu item called "Column Stats" where you can view various statistics that are automatically calculated for the column.

Step 3:

When you are finished with the table window, you can close that window and then you will be returned to the webpage called Technical Documents.
