Chat Areas

Overview

Chat Areas can be regarded as topics for discussion and can be leveraged as channels to gather information for the 625 Squadron website.  The Chat Area or Chat Topic can be used to create a discussion thread for a specific topic.

New Chat Areas will be created as required or requested.

Access To and Use of Chat Areas

In order to access and make use of the Google Chat Areas, you will need to have a Google Gmail account.  You can create an account by clicking here.

The web version of Google Chat syncs with the Google Chat App that can installed for both iOS and Android devices.

Purpose One

Developing a good website requires collaboration and effective communication amongst the individuals that are participating in the design and content gathering/creation/curation.  These individuals will likely come from various places in the world.  The Chat Areas, each having a specific focus, will enable the Website Team to engage in good discussion and sharing of knowledge and ideas.

Purpose Two

The Chat Areas are also intended to provide a virtual forum for discussion and the seeking of information by interested individuals, particularly family members of those that served in 625 Squadron.  

Gaining Access to Chat Areas

If you would like to receive an invitation to join a Chat Area(s), please send an email to the Webmaster indicating which Chat Areas you would like to join.

Invited individuals (Website Team Members or other interested parties) will receive an invitation from the Webmaster which upon joining through an email confirmation, the individual will have access to the specific Chat Area.
