Design Philosophy
The design philosophy for the website is rooted in simplicity as much as is possible using "no-cost or low-cost" technology based tools, such as Google to develop and maintain the site. The design of the website should adhere to the following principles:
The site navigation menus should be user friendly and efficient so that users can find what they are looking for quickly without getting lost on the site.
The user interface should be interesting and engaging for the user.
The structure of the content supported by the menu structure should be logical so that users are comfortable using the site.
The site should enable users to conduct interactive analysis of data where possible.
The site should give recognition and acknowledgement to contributors.
The site should comply with copyright associated with content material.
The site should contain information and data that is as accurate as possible with mechanisms in place to make corrections as and when required.
The site should adhere to the consistent use of colour palettes, font types and font sizes.
The terms and naming conventions used on the site should adhere as much as is possible to those that were defined and used by Bomber Command during World War II.
Most importantly, the website should be designed to pay respect to the personnel that served in the 625 Squadron as a way to give remembrance to their sacrifices and sense of duty.
